this item doesnt fit with my canon camera it take ages to fit it and it takes too long to get it off the lens
 
really poor quality Crown hood for canon posted on 2010-06-21
This 58 mm Crown hood, does not fit well in my CANON 500D.
you see the end of the hood at the picture, I have tried to re-fitted and I have done every possible thing to try to adjust the hood to avoid been show in the picture
and simple, you will see in all your pictures the hood... I belive it is a bad copy of the original CANON Crown hood..

I don't give even one single star to this product.

Bought this for my Canon 500D with standard lens kit. I have the Canon UV filter attached to my lens for extra protection, but as mentioned in other reviews, with the UV filter on I cannot screw on the lens hood. Also unlike the hood from Canon, this one cannot be clipped on facing backwards for easy storage.

Not what I expected was not expecting a screw fitment tried to screw it to zoom lens a bit fiddly.
I also found the thread seemed to be burring slightly and at one point I thought I wouldnt get it off the lens as been mentioned in a previous review. I wont be using this Hood I have now ordered the correct Canon one.
