Canon do not provide a driver for this camera for Windows 7 (64bit). This device allows direct transfer and the continued use of the camera.

I was slightly suspicious of this when I first used it as the groove to guide the card in, did not provide a tight fit, allowing the card to move from side to side when inserted.

The second time I used it my suspicions were confirmed as a piece of plastic broke off the guide rail so the whole thing had to gin the bin.

I would spend more money on a more robust card reader next time. After only two uses, inserting the CF card slightly wrong caused some of the pins in the reader to bend. Now the CF card will not go in at all. Waste of money.

This card reader does the job well. Pictures transfer to my computer very easily and quickly. Just one small gripe - the thickness of the reader makes it difficuly to plug in to a bank of USB slots in limited space.

Does exactly what I expect and works every time. I carry this I my camera bag to access the pictures I've taken more easily.
