A handy little item posted on 2010-08-21
A very handy item that removes light smears from the camera lens (or in my case the skylight filter screwed onto the lens to protect it). Not sure that I would want to use it for more stubborn marks but it does seem to work. Works well on spectacles too.

Will need to be careful after a bit of use in case the tip wears down and I end up rubbing with a piece of plastic. Not a good idea.

The brush is fine for brushing small particles of dirt or grit off the camera or lens.

this lens pen arrived in a cheap plastic bag and not original wrappings. this pen was covered in dust and dirt and had clearly been used previously and to make things worse this pen badly scratched the lens on a very expensive camera due to grit which was stuck on the end of the carbon felt pad , contacted the supplier who assured me that there was nothing wrong with the pen , i should take them to court for ruining my nikon dslr lens. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Good quality for the price and does clear those finger marks & smudges well. My only gripe is the manufacture should have considered a protective cap for the retractable brush end, but that's just me being picky. Overall I'm pleased with the product.

As an SLR user, it is almost inevitable that at some point your front lens element will become smudged with a fingerprint or attract dust.

The last thing you want to do is use the corner of your shirt to try and remedy the situation, this will create more problems than it solves.

This is where a Lenspen comes in. A retractable brush at one end to remove dust particles, and a finger print removing pad at the other end. To top it off, it's all contained in one compact pen sized package, making it easy to slip into a tight space in your photography bag.

At the price these are available for on Amazon, there really is no excuse for a photographer not to own one.

Only negative I've seen so far is the lid is a little loose, nothing major though.

I bought this based on good reviews, both here on Amazon and elsewhere. So far it has not disappointed. It doesn't take up much room in your bag, but is incredibly useful to carry with you. Would certainly buy again!
